Director and Tulsa native Jason Connell follows 10 as they attempt to secure gigs “ which pay a measly $50 a day “ and dream of hitting it big. One woman finds job dwindling as she ages, one guy is suicidal, more than a few are seemingly delusional, yet all have their charm. This results in an unflinching doc that travels the tide from amusing and funny to heartbreaking and depressing, but is ultimately uplifting “ a tribute to the underdogs who persevere.
