Oklahoma destinations get Travelocity approval

From more than 10,000 submissions nationwide, a few Oklahoma locations are being singled out as travel-worthy destinations in the guidebook “Local Secrets, Big Finds for 2007.”
Hosted by travel Web site Travelocity, the online guidebook lists unique American places worth discovering, including “hidden gems.”
“Our goal in compiling this list was to make local exploration simple and fun by pointing travelers in the right direction to find authentic local flavor,” said Amy Ziff, Travelocity’s editor-at-large, in a press release.
The five Oklahoma sites showcased are:
” the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Preserve, Indiahoma;
” Meers Store, Meers;
” Red Cup Coffee House, Oklahoma City;
” The Original Pawnee Bill’s Wild West Show, Pawnee; and
” Cafe Olé, Tulsa.
