The American Institute of Architects, Central Oklahoma is a professional organization committed to serving the community and the profession by promoting excellence in, and public awareness of, the built environment through quality architecture. AIA believes that we are impacted daily by our built environment, and this is why the American Institute of Architects, Central Oklahoma Chapter Board of Directors has chosen to support MAPS 3.
The original MAPS brought $350 million in projects and has yielded more than $2 billion in private investment. MAPS for Kids speaks for itself as it has resulted in new and improved schools throughout the city. Our city leaders have a proven track record with the success of MAPS 1 and 2, and we are confident that success will continue with MAPS 3.
The passage of MAPS 3 is important to keep our city moving forward. It will bring new jobs, promote economic investment, raise our quality of life and most importantly make Oklahoma City a better, healthier, more sustainable place for us to live. The IA Central Oklahoma Board of Directors urges the voters of Oklahoma City to support MAPS 3 by voting ‘yes’ on Dec. 8.
