For dinner, start with the crab cakes, served with sesame dressing and avocado relish. As for the rolls, try the Old Fashioned: tempura sweet potatoes with avocados and a sour cream and onion sauce. Another must-try is the OMG — tempura shrimp, salmon, crab, avocado, cucumber and fried stuffed jalapeños — all topped with a cheesy seafood symphony enough for two.

Here, you can have your Zen and eat it, too. Try any of the authentic stone pots or the classic crispy cashew chicken, which comes with mushrooms, bell peppers, baby corn, cashews and crispy chicken in a chili glaze. The bistro knows how to prepare eel, and these sushi rolls are must-eats: Beauty & The Beast, Caterpillar Roll and the Black Dragon.

This longtime sushi sanctuary is just the place for your fish fix. Among the most requested rolls on its extensive list are its Dynamite, Dynamite with grilled scallops, Double Crunch roll with crab sticks, shrimp and avocado, California spicy roll and a Cali with real crab. Let’s not forget its notable Sooner and Thunder rolls. Finish up with green tea ice cream.

Sushi Neko

Home to monster rolls and some of the best service in town, Sushi Neko has plenty to keep loyal patrons coming back. With the Lady Love and Hawaii Roll, which manages an entire macadamia nut in each slice, the restaurant has got fusion rolls covered. Another popular dish is the Red Canyon, topped with spicy crawfish. The Boatload of Sushi feeds two to four people and includes a variety from the menu. Try the triple chocolate mousse for dessert.

GOGO Sushi Express and Grill
432 N.W. 10th

A sushi spot in Midtown? We heartily approve! Based on the success of its first location in Moore, GOGO Sushi opened this second eatery and is faring quite well. All the usual suspects are on the menu, from bento boxes to sashimi and nigiri. Get your order to go or stay in and eat. The iced water has strawberries and other fruit in it for a nice, refreshing treat.

In the Raw

Start with the edamame. The owners aren’t kidding about the chef’s special spices — delicious! They do a great job incorporating crab cake in their rolls. Try the id roll, which wraps up crab cake, avocado and cream cheese and is then covered in masago and topped with seared tuna, spicy sauce and scallions. If you like the crab cake idea, also consider the 6151, with crab cakes, cream cheese, jalapeño and asparagus.

Volcano Sushi Bar & Hibachi
2727 S. Interstate 35, Moore

It’s definitely not your average trip to the hibachi. All dishes are made with fresh ingredients, and some come out resembling works of art. But don’t be daunted by its visual splendor; go ahead and eat it, anyway. If you want to skip the hibachi and try some rolls, don’t pass up the Earthquake, Golden Fantasy and Twin Tower. Finish up your meal with great fried ice cream.
