Blogger flogger

A Houston-based CBS Sports Radio blogger called Claire Crawford — since identified as Anna-Megan Raley, a digital content manager for the network — has learned that lesson the hard way.

CBS reportedly has fired Raley/Crawford after an April 22 blog post suggested that Oklahoma City Thunder Girl Kelsey Williams was “too chunky” to be an NBA cheerleader. The author went on to posit that Williams had been criticized — by exactly whom remains a mystery — for “having ‘pudginess’ around her waistline.”

The blogger then tried to disguise the cattiness by pretending to be high-minded.

“But if she’s comfortable wearing that tiny outfit and dancing for NBA fans, then good for her,” Raley/Crawford wrote. “Besides … not every man likes women to be toothpick skinny. I’d say most men prefer a little extra meat on her bones.”

Somewhat perplexingly, the blogger posted a photo of the flat-stomached blonde.

That’s when the cellulite hit the fan. Online reaction was overwhelmingly supportive of Williams and condemning of the blog post. Raley was let go several days later, according to several news reports.
