Black Hawk features One River Restaurant and Bar, open from 7 a.m. ’til
2 a.m. For breakfast, try the One River Special: Two eggs, bacon,
sausage, a pancake and your choice of toast or biscuit and gravy. For
dinner, try the fried catfish ($7.99). For night owls with the munchies,
go for the egg rolls and fried chicken livers. The shredded pork nachos
($8.99) are popular and comes on a plate the size of a small child.

up onto the bingo hall, Firelake’s bistro is open 24 hours and offers
menu items including the jalapeño chicken, fried goodness with just
enough kick to make you notice. It comes as an entrée with your choice
of side ($13), or if you are feeling particularly healthful, you can get
that fried chicken on top of a bed of greens ($11). Feel like a high
roller with the Friday and Saturday night surf and turf special for
25230 E. Highway 62, Harrah
is a casual dining restaurant with cold beers and pub food, including
pizza, burgers and, of course, the state meal, chicken-fried steak.
Redfork also has fun daily specials.
Tuesday features a variety of taco themed items. The best part of that? It’s
free. So, even if you broke the bank giving all your money to the
one-armed bandits on the slots floor, you can still have a consoling
taco, or four.
Rez Restaurant & Bar

for lunch and dinner, Rez features a broad menu with everything from
burgers and sandwiches for under $10 to pasta dishes such as the Rez
Alfredo ($8), or the sirloin beef tips served over egg noodles with
brown gravy ($9). Among the specialties of the house is the Indian Taco,
available year-round, traditional-style or with marinated chicken. At
$8.50, it’s cheaper than one at the state fair, which makes your trip to
Lucky Star that much sweeter.

worth the trip for this restaurant’s special casino offerings alone.
The Brewery emphasizes the most important food groups: beer, bacon and
bourbon. Thursday night is the night for a casino staple,
Bricktown-style, with unlimited surf and turf for $21.95 with a player’s
club card. The brewery has teamed with Pie Junkie to offer drunken
turtle pie, a brownie sundae and a sizzling apple crisp, all for five
Willows Buffet, Chips ’N Ales

Willows Buffet serves three meals each day and brunch on weekends.
Prices range from $8.99 for breakfast to $18.99 for dinner. Daily
specials include Seafood Night on Fridays for $29.99 and BBQ Saturday
Ales is a dark, cozy pub with Scottish and Irish fare, including
shepherd’s pie, bread pudding and fish and chips. It also has Scotch
eggs ($8), a crowd favorite.

is home to more than a dozen restaurants covering every taste. From
casual dining at Toby Keith’s, with its fun atmosphere and huge
portions, to fine dining at The Grill, a contemporary steakhouse. The

made by a dedicated chef, it boasts seven live-action cooking stations.
