Canterbury Choral Society sets 46th season

Canterbury Choral Society announced its 46th season this week. It launches Oct. 10 with a 125-member adult chorus in G3 — Gloria Cubed at the Civic Center Music Hall.

The three Glorias featured in the production are Vivaldi Gloria, the Gloria from the Mass in G minor by Ralph Vaughan Williams, and Francis Poulenc's Gloria.  Joining the group also will be high school choral students from Moore, Westmoore and Southmoore high schools and the Oklahoma City Philharmonic.

The side-by-side program offers students an opportunity to perform a choral masterwork in a professional venue with experienced musicians. Students also receive free classroom instruction, according to a media release.

Individual tickets are now available by calling 232-SING or the Civic Center Music Hall at 297-CCMH.  Also buy tickets online at www.myticketoffice.com.

Its Season of Passion also includes Canterbury Christmas on Dec. 7 and Defiant Requiem: Verdi at Terezin on April 12.
