Checotah’s country music sweetheart Carrie Underwood has been, uh, busy.

Nearly a year after the, er ... tumultuous reception of NBC’s live production of The Sound of Music, in which Underwood played Maria von Trapp, she’s hitting the tiny silver screen in your living room once again, except this time, you won’t actually see her.

Fox has commissioned Carrie Underwood to create a new miniseries based on her 2012 song “Two Black Cadillacs.” She will serve as co-executive producer on the series that will follow two Southern women — a wife and a mistress — who find out their man is a cheating liar and devise a plan to kill him. The show is written by Ildy Modrovich (CSI: Miami, Californication) and will be six hours long, according to deadline.com.

And amidst all of this fancy TV stuff, Underwood has officially assumed the greatest role she will ever play: mother. On Labor Day, she tweeted a photo of herself with her two dogs and the caption, “In honor of ‘Labor’ Day...Ace & Penny would like to make an announcement. Their parents couldn’t be happier!” The dogs were wearing shirts that said, “I’m going to be a big brother” and “I’m going to be a big sister.”
