Traveling west on NW 23rd Street gives you a chance to experience a cross section of the many cultures. The Gold Dome Multicultural Society is teaming up with one of OKCs newest districts, The Windsor District (The W), to host an evening of cross-cultural discovery.
The Gold Dome Societys mission is to promote awareness and education about the many cultures in our city.
The East Meets West Series are evenings of food and film. The first is tomorrow night at the B&B Oklahoma City Windsor 10 located in the Windsor Hills Shopping Center at 4623 NW 23rd St.
The W runs along NW 23rd Street from Interstate 44 West to Oklahoma Citys western city limits. It has a population that represents people from Latin America, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. This event is the official launch of the district.
The W plans to be the city's international district, and this event is its coming-out party.
The soiree will start at 5:00 p.m. with wine and small bites inspired by the varied cuisines in the district. The film is the first installment of a five-part documentary: The Incredible Human Journey. The first episode is Out of Africa, and will begin at 6 p.m.
Tickets to the event are $20 per person or $30 per couple. Buy them online at bbtheatres.com, or purchase them at the door. All proceeds go to benefit both Gold Dome Multicultural Society and The W.
