We’re a bunch of thieves. It’s better that we just admit it now and commit ourselves to fixing the problem.

Hey, the Coupons Daily website says so, so it must be accurate. It quoted numbers from the National Association for Shoplifting Prevention (NASP).

Oklahoma City ranks seventh worst city in the nation when it comes to the percentage of us who shoplift, just behind Washington, D.C., and ahead of Oakland, California.

Nationally, one in 11 people (27 million total) shoplift from retail department and other retail stores each year, NASP numbers show. OKC’s population is 605,034, and there were 20,287 cases of larceny in 2013.

Austin, Texas, topped the Coupons Daily list with a population of 859,180 and 32,948 reported larceny cases.
