Myriad Botanical Gardens has many fun options for the first days of fall

Romeo & Juliet 

The classic tragedy of the Montagues and Capulets comes to life with Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park’s (OSP) distinctive telling of the Shakespearean tale on the Water Stage. This is the last weekend of the last show in OSP’s 32nd season. Shows are 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday. Tickets are $15-$20. Visit oklahomashakespeare.com.

Paddle boarding

Enjoy the city’s entry into fall on the lake at Myriad Botanical Gardens with paddle boarding sessions presented by Oklahoma City Community Foundation. The sessions are $5 per 15-minute session and run 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. Participants must be at least 8 years old and able to paddle themselves or age 5 or older if they’re working with a parent. Maximum weight per paddleboard is 275 pounds. This is the last session of the season, so get out and get active!

Thursday Walking Club Meetup

Myriad Life Walking Club meets weekly for informal, guided group walks through and around the scenic gardens. It meets noon and 12:30 p.m. each Thursday and 10 a.m. each Saturday, weather permitting, through the end of September. All ages and abilities are welcome. Admission is free.

Yoga in the Gardens

This series, led by Lisa Woodward, wraps up Sept. 27. Classes run 5:45-7 p.m. in the pavilion (as weather permits) or inside Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory. It’s free for Myriad Botanical Gardens members and $10 for nonmembers. Participants must be age 16 or older. The class is an all-levels class. Guests should bring a yoga mat and water.
