zombies > Congress

Gazette staff November 6th, 2013

In case you missed it, a recent poll found that zombies are more popular than Congress. Same goes for hemorrhoids, dog poop and toenail fungus.

Seriously. So what better way to get back in good graces with the American people than calling your fellow congressman an asshole?

According to the New York Daily News, Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) did just that when discussing the nature of his relationship with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) at a gala for the New York Young Republican Club.

“There’s no comity with Harry Reid,” Coburn said. “I think he’s an absolute asshole.”

Damn! He got you, Reid! What are you gonna do about it?

Here’s what Reid’s spokesman, Adam Jentleson, told The Hill:

“Nothing says ‘co- mity’ like childish play- ground name-calling, especially from a senator who has not sponsored a single piece of successful bipartisan legislation during his entire Senate career.”

Oh, snap! He owned you, Coburn! But wait, there’s more! Referring to when Coburn called Reid “incompetent” in July of last year, Jentleson went on:

“Since this is the second time in the last year or so Senator Coburn has had to apologize to Senator Reid, he knows where to find him.”

Yeah, Coburn! Jungle gym, 3 o’clock. Be there!
