The Bird is the Word: Build a Bird Feeder to Celebrate Na- tional Bird Feeding Month 1:00-2:30pm Water Plaza room $15 nonmembers    $10 members Best for ages 12 and up. Younger children may participate with an adult.
Feed our feathered friends! Learn about different types of bird feed and the birds that prefer them. Build an easily-accessed birdfeeder or birdhouse made from native Eastern Red Cedar lumber cut at a local mill. After you assemble your feeder, you’ll fill it with a custom seed blend designed to attract Oklahoma birds. As an added bonus, participants will learn about Oklahoma’s winter birds via a presentation by a local bird expert. Dress for the weather and get ready for an exploration of the outdoor grounds looking for our winter birds. Limited number of participants (20).
