soprano Courtney Crouse is one of the newest appointments to the Bass

school of music’s voice faculty. the mezzo-soprano was a featured soloist

with the new york virtuoso singers under the direction of harold rosen-

baum, and with l’harmonie des saisons under the direction of Baroque

specialist eric milnes. she is a charter member of the Coterie, dedicated

to the development and performance of new opera. A reviewer wrote of

her performance: “Courtney Crouse lets both sides of her talent, acting

and singing, shine.”
