EcoFeminist Conference

A conference on environmental feminist activism will be held Friday and Saturday, April 5th and 6th 2013 in Oklahoma City. Keynote speaker is Dr. Jane Caputi, professor of Women’s Studies at Florida Atlantic University. 

The conference will explore how violence against women is connected with destruction of the environment and how unifying environmental movements and movements to end violence against women is critical to ensuring the future of life on earth. The goal of this conference is to build networks of concerned activists, to raise awareness, and to connect new people with opportunities to make a difference.

The conference will be held at Church of the Open Arms, UCC, 3131 N. Pennsylvania Ave. in Oklahoma City and is being sponsored by the Mary Daly Feminist Spirituality Group, The Peace House, Peace Education Institute, Church of the Open Arms Social Jus tice Team, and Herland Sister Resources.
