Annual Turkish Festival
Raindrop Foundation is a non-profit cultural organization that seeks to promote friendship and understanding through shared understanding and community experiences.
This year Raindrop Foundation will bring cultural entertainment and education to Oklahoma by presenting the Annual Turkish Festival.
Goal of this event is to familiarize the community with the work of Raindrop Turkish House as well as Raindrop’s mission in the community. The festival will feature Turkish folk dances, traditional music, water marbling art , also known as Ebru, Whirling Dervishes and lots of shopping. The festival will also showcase original arts and crafts that will be for sale to the public. Festival goers will have the opportunity to enjoy the unique Turkish cuisine while browsing and shopping .
The admission is FREE and the event is open to the public
Parking is free.

Turkish culture is a unique fusion of Western and Eastern elements. We are proud to host this event to introduce the community to our wonderful Turkish traditions that make our history and our present so rich. We will be offering language classes, cooking lessons, dialogue events, Turkish coffee and Tea nights, Friday Social nights and many other cultural and social events throughout the year. Some of the foods being showcased will be Baklava, Kebabs, Dolmas (stuffed veggies),Sarma (stuffed grape leaves),Borek (pastries), and different styles of salads, finger foods, and countless other traditional foods. We will also showcase Turkish handcrafts like as scarves, booties, table clothes, shawls, towels, ceramics, and China will that will be available for viewin g and for sale.
An artist of traditional Turkish art ,Ebru, will be performing a water marbling art shows during the festival.
Raindrop Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3), educational, charitable, social and cultural organization founded by Turkish-Americans in Houston in 2000 and now it operates in six states: Texas, Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, and Louisiana.
