Kim Norton\'s 2013 Equine and Vineyard Art
Kim Norton's 2013 Equine and Vineyard Art
May 1st to May 31st
Kim Norton paints horses and grape still-lifes in oil and pastel. Horse portraits, horses playing, horses at work,
horses racing, ... well you get the idea. And grapes - white grapes, purple grapes - mostly on the vine. She
signs all her artwork with a horse icon. And she is very, very good at what she does.
An Oklahoma born artist, her love for animals and colors since childhood influences her work today. Her paintings are
ultra realistic. Kim likes to use strong light and shadows with lots of color. Her artwork brings the reality of the subject
to the viewer ... "as if they could reach out and pet the animal portrayed or pick a grape off the vine!"
Public receptions will be held in conjunction with Paseo Art District's "First
Friday" event (6:00 - 10:00 May 3th) and on "Sunday, May 19th (1:00 - 4:00)
Kim will be present at the gallery and demo on the May 19th.
