Stop the Violence Dance Camp Showcase

7 p.m., Saturday August 03
Stop the Violence has announced its 4th annual Dance Camp. The
week long summer dance camp will commence on Monday, July 29th at 6:00 p.m. at Miracle Revival
Center Church (901 NW 6th St.) and end with a showcase that will be held on Saturday, August 3rd at
7:00 p.m. at the Edmond Community Center (28 E. Main St.).
The dance camp is an innovative program for children ages 5-18, the camp is entirely free and open to the
public. Stop the Violence will provide food for the children during the duration of the camp and with
school right around the corner, Stop the Violence will also give the campers some back to school
supplies.
Since its inception in 2010, this vital program has reached thousands of youth across the state of
Oklahoma, providing direction and hope to the children. Next week’s camp is designated to not only
teach dance, but also help campers with their personal development as well as develop a respect for
themselves and others.
“We realize that this is just one avenue toward a solution to the plight of our youth. We believe in longterm plans, cooperating businesses, charitable organizations, community churches, state and local
governing bodies working together with one goal in mind… our youth. We want to alter their paths of
violence and show them the positive. We Care!” said Kuinten Rucker, Chairman and Founder of Stop the
Violence.
