Ken Hada Poetry Reading
2 p.m., Sunday January 12
The January 12 Second Sunday Poetry Reading in the Norman Depot, 200 S. Jones, will feature the return of popular reader Ken Hada. Light refreshments are served at the free reading, which begins at 2:00 pm. All are welcome.
Dr. Hada, from Ada, Oklahoma, is a poet and professor at East Central University where he directs the annual Scissortail Creative Writing Festival. He finds inspiration for writing in nature. Raised in the rural Ozarks, with close ties to his Hungarian ancestors in the gypsum hills of northwest Oklahoma, Hada finds the natural order a powerful presence for writing.
His award-winning books include The Way of the Wind, Spare Parts, and The River White: A Confluence of Brush & Quill. His latest book, Margaritas and Redfish, is now available from Lamar University Press.
