Southwestern Oklahoma State University and the Oklahoma Humanities Council invite area residents to experience Chinese artwork at a special exhibition being staged at SWOSU through February 6 in the Art Building on the Weatherford campus.

The exhibition, “Across the Divide,” features 19 Chinese artists, all who are currently teaching studio art at universities across the United States. The exhibition is open Mondays through Fridays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Several special sessions are also planned and open to the public. Mr. Yu Ji will give a lecture on Wednesday, January 15, from 9-10 a.m. in Art Building Room 405.  Later that afternoon, a panel discussion will take place from 3-4:30 p.m. in Room 405 featuring Ji and Dr. Shaoqian.

An opening exhibition reception will take place Wednesday, January 22, in the SWOSU Art Gallery from 4-6 p.m.  Everyone is invited. All activities are free to the public
