Sterling Gates, SoAHH Alum OU School of Art & Art History alumnus Sterling Gates will visit OU to speak with students and the community about his work, his time at the School of Art & Art History, and his career post-graduation. Gates earned his B.F.A. in 2005 specializing in film and media arts and has gone on to work as writer’s room production assistant on TV’s Blade: The Series, and later became assistant to comic book industry giant, Geoff Johns. Currently, he resides in Los Angeles, California, and writesJUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA: VIBE every month and is working on his first novel. Gates’ work will be part of the alumni exhibition at the OU School of Art & Art History, which will be held in conjunction with the 100th Annual School of Art and Art History Student Exhibition in January 2014. This lecture is free and open to the public.
