Much Ado About Nothing

None
7:30 p.m., Friday February 21

CityRep joins in the world wide celebration of the “The Bard’s” 450th birthday celebration year with Shakespeare’s most romantic comedy. This production marks the first equity professional regional theatre production of any of Shakespeare’s plays in Oklahoma in more than 40 years.

Young lovers Hero and Claudio are to be married in one week. To pass the time, they conspire with Don Pedro to set a "lover's trap" for Benedick, an arrogant confirmed bachelor, and Beatrice, his favorite sparring partner. Meanwhile, the evil Don Jon conspires to break up the wedding by accusing Hero of infidelity. In the end, though, the couples are happily united and the merry battle of the sexes proves to be "much ado about nothing."
