The Super Sprowtz
A national touring company, whose mission is to teach children about nutrition, exercise and good health through lively performances and interactive media, will stop at Myriad Gardens as a part of its 26-city tour. Performance time is 11:00 a.m., March 17, which is during Spring Break. The Super Sprowtz performance will take place on the Band Shell, on the Great Lawn. The performance is free to the public and will last about 45 minutes.
“Part of the mission of the Gardens is wellness and fitness, and we know how important it is to instill good habits in young children,” said Gardens Executive Director Maureen Heffernan. “The Super Sprowtz performance is lively and fun, and sends great messages to kids and parents about nutrition. We’re pleased to be a stop on the tour!”
Super Sprowtz has performed for over 250,000 children and families at venues including the White House at last year’s Easter Egg Roll, Life Is Beautiful Music Festival in Las Vegas, Reebok’s Headquarters in Boston, The Children’s Museum of Manhattan, Lincoln Center for the Arts in Manhattan, Brooklyn Botanic Garden and The Bronx Zoo in New York City.
They have appeared with First Lady Michelle Obama, Academy Award-winning actor Jeff Bridges, sports star Shaqille O’Neal and celebrity chef Todd English, among many more.
Colby Carrot, Brian Broccoli and Erica Eggplant bring their fun, interactive Super Sprowtz tour to the Myriad Gardens! Everyone is invited as the Super Sprowtz lead the audience through super hero training camp featuring songs, dancing and games. The performance at the Gardens is one of the stops on their 26-city Super Sprowtz Eat Your Super Powers US Tour, and in addition to the show, a documentary film crew will be there to film. By participating in the show, you and your kids agree to be filmed as part of the documentary that will be released to a national audience!
