The Queen\'s Bed

None
8 p.m., Friday April 18

It’s the Oklahoma premiere of another Robert Matson original, titled, The Queen’s Bed, at the Boom Dinner Theatre, April 11 - 26. The romping sex comedy tells the tale of a Queen’s naughty little plan to rule the world with her secret bed.

“We are putting a bed on the Boom stage,” says Matson, “and with plenty of bawdy, sexual situations to satisfy all.”

Kris Schinske, stars as the Queen of a tiny country, who wants money, land, ships and someone to make the bed, all for the love of power and control. Throughout the course of her naughty little plan, the Queen gets herself wrapped in sheets and into some physical and comical positions.

Todd Clark, plays the arrogant King with Courtney Hahne, as the saucy “bed-making” servant, Hugger Mugger and Jackie Smola, as the over bearing, Lady Huff.

“Everyone gets involved with the Queen’s plot,” says Matson, “and everyone ends up in the bed; mixed couples, female couples, male couples but no animals. We do have some kind of dignity.”

The cast also includes Clayton Blair as the conniving Leech with Dougie Rankin, pulling double duty as Leech’s love-sick boyfriend, Tingle and Lord Homely, the man with a secret fantasy plus Chris Briscoe and Lance Overdorff in multiple roles such as; an overzealous Admiral, an ex-jester, a dead duke and a portly landowner. TnT Burlesque entertainer, Apple Angel rounds out the cast as the busty, lusty Tweet.

“We hold nothing back in this sex comedy,” says Matson, “so if you’re not offended by this sort of wicked play, then buy a ticket and prepare for some naughty adult fun.”

The Queen’s Bed performs April 11-26, Friday and Saturday nights at 8 pm with dinner service at 6:30 pm, at the Boom Dinner Theatre, located at 2218 NW 39th St. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at ticketstorm.com or audiences can reserve at www.rjmproductions.com. The play is produced by Robert JM Productions, which produces original and diverse theatre in OKC.  The Queen’s Bed does contain sexual situations and language.
