Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner
The University of Central Oklahoma Department of Design will showcase some of their best student work in the exhibit “Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner: The ADDY Award Show 2014,” opening April 24 in the Melton Gallery with a reception from 4-6 p.m.
The reception is free and open to the public. The Melton Gallery is located in the UCO Art and Design Building.
The exhibit will showcase the award-winning works of 31 Central graphic design students who took home a total of 90 ADDY Awards this spring at the local ADDY Award competition.
The ADDY Awards are the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting more than 50,000 entries every year in the local competitions throughout the nation. The Student ADDY Awards are a three-tier national competition sponsored by the American Advertising Federation and National Ad 2. The awards recognize creative excellence by students.
“Since the awards, faculty of the UCO Department of Design have been proud to discuss this spectacular feat with the community and talk about how our design students’ works truly merit such prestigious awards,” said Amy Johnson, M.F.A., chair of the department of design.
“Now we’re excited to invite the community to come see the excellence of our students’ work for themselves.”
“Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner” will be on display through May 25.
