Family Invertebrate Fossil Field Trip
6:30-7:30 p.m., Friday April 25
The Sam Noble Museum invites families to join invertebrate paleontology curator Dr. Steve Westrop for an exciting journey into Oklahoma’s Paleozoic past. Explore life in Oklahoma’s ancient oceans on Friday evening with a close-up look at some of the museum’s finest invertebrate specimens. On Saturday morning, we will depart from the museum at 9 a.m. and travel in university vans to the site where you will find a variety of marine fossils that you can take home. Bring a sack lunch, snacks, comfortable shoes and plenty of water. This field trip is for children 7 and up with an adult.
Friday, April 25 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 26 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Advance registration is required and space is limited. On-site registration is not available for this program.
Cost: Members $90 (includes one child and one adult)/ $45 for each additional person; Non-members $110 (includes one child and one adult)/ $55 for each additional person.
