their production of bare: a pop opera.</p>

<p style="text-indent:.5in">bare
is directed by Upstage Owner &amp; Executive Director, Brett Rottmayer with
Musical Direction by Mary Brozina. </p>

<p style="text-indent:.5in">&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-indent:.5in">A group of high school seniors at a Catholic boarding school
face issues of personal identity. As they struggle to come to terms with who
they are, and who the world thinks they should be, they seek answers from their
Church, their friends, and ultimately, from within themselves. Its rich,
vibrant score draws on many styles of contemporary music. While it was written
almost a decade ago, the heart and message of bare is still just as relevant and touching today as it was then.
It is not difficult to identify with some aspect of this show. </p>

<p> bare
features the talents of students from The University of Central Oklahoma and
Oklahoma City University as well as several Oklahoma City Community theatre
favorites (Renee Anderson, Paul Mitchell, Jenny Rottmayer, and Michael
Stewart).</p>

<p style="text-indent:.5in">bare
performs Jan 18-19 at 7:30 with a 2:00pm matinee on the 19 &amp; 20 and 24-26
at 7:30 with a special midnight showing on the 26th. The show will
perform at the Upstage Black Box Theatre located at 844 W Danforth in Edmond.
Tickets are $16 for adults, $8 for Students. Bare is rated “R” for mature themes
