DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:
MURDER
MYSTERY DINNER PROVIDES WHODUNIT NIGHT OF FUN AND FUNDRAISING FOR THE HISTORIC
SOONER THEATRE

Norman, Okla. – In a twist of comedy and community, someone gets
the ax, and not just in his/her starring role, in a Valentine’s date
night favorite supporting Norman’s premiere performing arts venue and
academy, The Sooner Theatre, February 14-16, 2013.

A Killer Reunion finds
revenge on the schedule for this All-80s class reunion. A wild bunch of
characters return to Southside
High School, where the
high school counselor set all their lives on some unfortunate paths. But whose
bad advice leads to murder? It's going to be a "killer" reunion!
Audiences will have to use their thinker (or purchase clues from cast members)
to solve the case of the counselor with poor guidance.

All proceeds benefit the programs and operations of the historic Sooner
Theatre, an anchor of Norman’s
thriving downtown arts district. Tickets to the event are $75 each or $600 for
a table of eight. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. each night.

“We love that we’ve created this Valentine’s weekend
tradition! Patrons love to make a date night of it, and everyone has a great
evening of laughter and intrigue – even if it isn’t always
politically correct,” said Jennifer Baker, Sooner Theatre executive
director. “It is also our biggest fundraiser of the year, so those
patrons are helping us continue to bring quality live theatre, educational
programs and concert events to Norman
each year.”

This year, the event will also include one very special silent auction
item. Audience members will be able to bid on a role in next year’s show.
The role can be purchased for the buyer or for a person of the buyer’s
choice.

“This is a great option for all the closet performers out there
– if you ever wanted to catch your big break (or wrangle a friend who
needs their big break) into a fun and funny show, this is your chance!”
said Baker.

The show is written by James Briggs of the Norman Parks and Recreation
Department. Cast members include James Briggs, Kerri Brinkman White, Jody
White, Leasa Stewart, Terri Nevin-Hesselroth, Jay Potts, Mark Krittenbrink,
Sharon Pyeatt, Jud Foster, and Shirley Franklin. In addition, last year’s
auction winners will make a special appearance. And, special guest John (Count
Gregore) Ferguson
may even drop in one night!

Dinner and shows are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, February 14-16,
2013, at The Hall at The Railhouse (formerly Old
Town Plaza),
102 W. Eufaula St.
in downtown Norman.
Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling The Sooner Theatre at
405.321.9600. Box office hours are Tues.-Fri., 10 a.m.- noon and 2-5 p.m.
Although the event is a fundraiser for all programs of The Sooner Theatre, the
evening is for adults only.

The Sooner Theatre of Norman is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Sooner Theatre offers
year-round events including in-house musical theatre productions, concerts by
nationally touring groups, special events, youth productions and dozens of
performing arts classes at The Studio of The Sooner Theatre.

Sooner Theatre productions, concerts and programs are made possible in
part by the support of the Oklahoma Arts Council, the National Endowment for
the Arts and the Norman Arts Council, Republic Bank & Trust and Toby and
Tricia Covell. This production is underwritten in part by The Hyden Fund, a
charitable donor advised fund of the Norman Community Foundation.
