Lots of press releases cross our desk. Last week, these titles least screamed “Stop the presses!”
This is for all you creative types out there. The Oklahoma City University is hosting a creative writing festival April 16, themed “The Business of Being Creative.”
The event is free (free! Yay!) and will include workshops, book signings and seminars. Workshops will be led by Oklahoma City writers Lou Berney (pictured) and Gwendolyn Hooks, as well as professors Danita Berg and Abigail Keegan of OCU. Reps from Village Books Press and Mongrel Empire Press will lead discussions on the publishing world.
For the brave and/or cocky, festival attendees are also invited to bring their own writing to read aloud.
The festival is at the Walker Center on OCU’s campus. Register by emailing drberg@okcu.edu.
