So hard to believe, yet so true: Despite 41 years in existence, Oklahoma City Ballet never has staged a full performance of Swan Lake, one of the classic ballets of all time. That changes at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday, when the 26-dancer troupe rewrites history at Civic Center Music Hall, 201 N. Walker. Tickets are $33-$55. Call 848-8637 or visit okcballet.com.
Friday-Sunday
Despite the show’s title, a whistling rendition of “Sweet Georgia Brown” will not be part of A Globetrotter’s Guide to the Orchestra. But since it’s the season finale of the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, you can expect “Adagio for Strings,” and that’s pretty catchy in its own right. You be the judge at 8 p.m. Saturday at Civic Center Music Hall, 201 N. Walker. Tickets are $15- $52. Call 842-5387 or visit okcphilharmonic.org.
