Schimpf has taken top honors at several prestigious competitions ’round the globe, and he’s only 29! Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon

OKG7 things to do

Gazette staff

Several cool things happened in 2001: Wikipedia launched, Apple introduced the first iPod. But one of the coolest was the inaugural Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon, a tribute to those who were killed in and affected by the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in 1995. The 14th annual race is 6:30 a.m. Sunday in downtown Oklahoma City, with checkin at the Health & Fitness Expo at Cox Convention Center, One Myriad Gardens. Registration is $10-$325. Visit okcmarathon.com.
