Counterpoint: Paying the price

This issue is more complicated than just changing one law

Commentary

Bill Bishop
As a retail liquor store owner, I am against allowing grocery stores to sell wine and high-point beer for many reasons, including the start-up cost of our business and the reality that this is part of our livelihood. However, this issue is not as easy as it might appear, and there are other factors to consider.

Letters to the Editor

Maj. John Haley

Not just a grocery store

Solve problems over supper at Midway, Norman’s neighborhood gathering spot.

Food and Drink Features

Carol Cole-Frowe
When is a grocery store not a grocery store? When it’s part Mayberry diner, political center of Norman, classic-car gearhead clubhouse, mecca for emerging musicians, as well as a fine place to get a hearty bowl of homemade chili or soup and a wholesome sandwich.

Naked Angels

This biker flick has no clothes.

Action

Rod Lott
For his productions, Roger Corman knew the market value of a great title. Naked Angels is one of them, but in the case, but it’s like putting icing on a pile of dog poop.
