Unwritten Law — Swan

Do you miss rock in '02? You'll love this.

Stephen Carradini
You never really forget your first love, and my initial musical passion was turn-of-the-millenium pop-punk like Blink-182 and Sum 41.

So hard to believe, yet so true: Despite 41 years in existence, Oklahoma City Ballet never has staged a full performance of Swan Lake, one of the classic ballets of all time. That changes at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday, when the 26-dancer troupe rewrites history at Civic Center Music Hall, 201 N. Walker. Tickets are $33-$55. Call 848-8637 or visit

Lady in a Cage

Histrionics, bar none.

Rod Lott
Unleashed to home video enthusiasts again — this time courtesy of Warner Archive — 1964's Lady in a Cage traps the elderly Cornelia (the legendary Olivia de Havilland, Gone with the Wind) in an elevator. The lift isn't in an office building or department store, but in her own home; the cane-leaning Cornelia's been using it to bypass stairs after breaking her hip.
