New year’s eve party fell flat

Let me start by saying I am a Kevin Durant fan just as much as the next Oklahoman. Our family has season tickets to the Thunder games, and we do our best to keep up with KD’s work as an athlete and philanthropist. I nearly jumped through the roof when my husband and I received “exclusive stage” VIP tickets to his New Year’s Eve party.

Last call for Stage Center?

Jan. 16 is the deadline for Oklahoma City performing arts lovers to save Stage Center theater, formerly known as Mummers Theater. On that day, the Downtown Design Review Committee will decide whether to approve razing the theater, which was designed by Harvard-educated architect John M. Johansen and opened in 1970.

DDRC approves Stage Center demolition

The Downtown Design Review Committee cleared the way on January 16 for developer Rainey Williams Jr. to raze Oklahoma City's Stage Center building downtown to make room for an office tower. The committee voted 3-2 in favor of demolition.
