Stepping off at 7 p.m. Tuesday, the performance incorporates elements of both classical and contemporary ballet to present pieces based on Don Quixote, Romeo and Juliet and more. Tickets are $10-$22. Are you off to see ‘The Wizard’?

This weekend, there really will be no place like home. Enjoy Oklahoma City Ballet’s 40th anniversary encore performances of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz at Civic Center Music Hall, 201 N. Walker.



The show debuted during the troupe’s 2008-2009 season, featuring an original score by Kermit Poling. Performances will be 8 p.m. tonight and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday.

This show, typical of the immaculate artistic direction of Robert Mills, will feature flying effects and a three-dimensional tornado.

And, of course, the production wouldn't be complete without a Toto:

For the 11th year, the Norman Ballet Company presents The Oklahoma Nutcracker, which sets the Tchaikovsky classic in the Overholser Mansion.
