“Masterpiece” isn’t a word to be used liberally; it’s reserved for things like the Mona Lisa or many of the works from the École des Beaux-Arts, one of Europe’s most revered art academies. The latter happen to be on display in Gods and Heroes: Masterpieces from the École des Beaux-Arts, Paris, a new exhibition showcasing some of the most astonishing pieces to ever come out of France. The exhibit opens Saturday at Oklahoma City Museum of Art, 415 Couch Drive, and runs through September 14. Admission is free for members and $5-$12 for nonmembers. Call 236-3100 or visit okcmoa.com.
