Thunder Alley Grill and Sports Bar

2127 S.W. 74th St., Suite B
Oklahoma City, OK, 73159
702-0302 | Website

There are seats for 108 fun-seekers in Thunder Alley with more of a casual club feel inside with pool tables on each side and TVs around the room. Scoop up a taste of its excellent Four-Layer Dip along with wings and chicken tenders. Nothing is fried, but all baked to be on the more healthy side. Adding to the excitement are tasty soups and salads; the California Spinach Salad with red grapes and walnuts is a knockout plus good sandwiches and panini. Thunder Alley’s desserts are just two – but wait a minute,  – they are an apple crisp and a Strawberry Bliss done with pound cake, strawberries and whipped cream. The new spot just opened in August, 2011.

The map is a little off.  It's NOT next to Hooter's.  It's behind Hooter's.  Actually, on the back side of the shopping center.  Drive around the back side of Conn's and look for a garage door with Thunder Alley banner.  Looks ghetto from outside but believe me when I say, as soon as you walk into the door, you'll be like, "WOW!"  The place is awesome.  Definitely what the south side needs.   Oh, and the food (especially the pizza)....muy bueno!

This is south OKC's best kept secret! A friend of mine told me about it and now I'm spreading the word. This place is new and in a weird location at the back of a shopping center, but once you find it you are in for a treat!

Don't be deceived by the exterior. It looks like a hole in the wall dive, but once you get inside you are pleasantly surprised by a pretty amazing decor: modern with big screen tvs, it's VERY CLEAN, pool tables and darts. Best of all though the staff is SUPER friendly! I even got a chance to meet the owners, a younger couple who are really genuine and fun to talk to.

The food is great too. Apparently everything is baked, not even a deep fryer in kitchen! They've got all the classics like wings, mozza sticks and chicken tenders, but it's all baked. I tried the wings and the california salad. The wing had a good kick to them and the salad was delicious!

I HIGHLY recommend this place and know as soon as the word is out it's going to be packed. Go check it out!

I had the spinach dip, a california salad and 1 margarita, ok, maybe 2.  All very delicious.  The owners are super cool and I told them they need to advertise more.  Fantastic layout with lots to offer: Karaoke on wednesdays, new pool tables & darts; great food, all NFL games on sunday, and the place smells clean, it's like the only nonsmoking sports bar/restaurant in town.
