“We wanted to come up with a model that could potentially be replicable in other schools as well as something that is sustainable for the long-term,” Karper said. “It is an opportunity for artists, but it also benefits students.”
Pawley painted the mural at no cost to the food bank.
This mural will decorate the side of an apartment building in Midtown.
Participating artists included Sean Vali, Randall Barnes, Nick Bayer, Dylan Bradway, the Holey Kids, Trent Lawson, Mandy Messina, Marcus Muse, Jason Pawley, Cassie Stover and others.
The artists working on the Sheridan Avenue underpass downtown hope to have their mural projects finished by the beginning of June.
