Some of Oklahoma’s most influential people have banded together to form Step Up Oklahoma and fix the budget shortfall.
The public is speaking out in response to Kirk Humphreys’ remarks on Flashpoint.
“Victims can be taken to court over and over, sometimes over a period of years,” Peery said. “The right to a speedy trial doesn’t happen for victims. … The process of the court just re-traumatizes victims.”
The event will be hosted by former Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Turpen and former Oklahoma City Mayor Kirk Humphreys.
