“We’re taking our actors to a gun range,” he said. “It’s a very intense experience, just like the psychological experience of the historical characters we’re portraying.”
The creative outlet combines theater actors, musicians, dancers and technically savvy professionals.
The August Wilson-written play will be fresh on many audience members’ minds following the release of Denzel Washington’s film version.
The show runs Tuesday-Feb.12 at Civic Center Music Hall, 201 N. Walker Ave.
Director Don Taylor’s production runs Jan. 19-Feb. 12.
